Why do people like SPS?

The question is not intended to be rude, or disingenuous to any degree. It's purely out of curiosity. Why are SPS the cream of the crop, why are they preferred over soft corals? Personally I find LPS to be more attractive, granted there are some stunning SPS corals I've seen, but majorly, I notice LPS corals first. So what is it?



Is it the challenge, or something else?
