Okay so in all my reading I've seen just about everything for water changes. 20% per week. 20% every two weeks. 50% every 2 weeks. 10% per month. 1% every 60 years.
So assuming that you have the required elements for your livestock (calcium, etc) do you just check your parameters and change when the nitrate is getting high (assume ammonia/nitrite=0). In other words does it make sense to do a water change if your salinity is good, you haven't got much or any corals, your pH is good, and you have low nitrate? Or just monitor and change when nitrate is high?
