Not another newbie

So, I was at local pet store was gonna pickup a talk for myself and daughter, just simple freshwater tank and have had them when i was younger, but something didn't feel right, so i didn't get one, went back two more times with the plan on getting one and still didn't , came home type in aquariums on youtube and ended up getting saltwater tanks.

Im so glad I didn't get a fresh water one, the diversity with a saltwater tank and not just the fish, but the reef the corals the COLOURS I'm hooked and want one its like having a little bit of ocean in the house and can see me relaxing to some Eddie Vedder and just watching the tank.

Hey Im Scott and just starting as of this weekend, I have nothing yet but just reading and think and thinking, first it was build my own, which seems to overwhelm me the next was a nano or micro tank really like the jbj 45RL. However. I rally like the idea of building my own tank and that way I can expand in the future and buy or upgrade as needed. Ive done a lot of glass work and am a cabinet maker and know I can build one two pictures uploaded ones a custom case around the jbj 45RL tank then the other is what id like a 60 gallon tank.

So what would I need to get one up and running?

Tank

live sand

live rocks

skimmer

a couple or one good power head and wave maker

lighting

heater.

Is this basically what I need?

Then latter as I learn more could update to all that other jazz top offs and osmosis stuff lol

Looking forward to this journey and all the input . Or maybe just go with a all in one micro tank like the jbj and see how I like it and eventually upgrade . Just thinking all that money if I went strait to a 60 gallon hmmm HELPPP I'm addicted now. lol
