CPR bak pak protein skimmer w accella pump very noisy

I just set up a 40g, and i am using a cpr bak pak with an accella pump that came with it. its noisy, and a bit of a rttling noise is coming from the powerhead. i have heard reports of this setup being totally silent, is there anything i can do?
