Have a small purple gig that is seemingly healthy compared to the horror studies I have read and seen.
I have successfully housed multiple types of anemones over the years and seem a generrally have a good idea on placement. (carpet/LTA - sand, sebae sand/rock, bubble rock, ritt rock)
I am not really sure where to place this gig though. I have placed him on fine sand with rocky surfaces around him, but he wont really dig and seems more interested in attaching to the rock. But I don't think the rock surface is big enough.
Research says they like to bury their foot like a Haddoni but that does not seem to be accurate here or when I have tried in the past.
Am I better off laying some flat boulder like rocks down on the surface of the sand and letting him attach that way? I have sene gigs in other tanks outright attach to rocks much like Mertensi. Is that the way to go?
Am confused - a little direction would be helpful.
