How do you store your salt

Have big 5 gallon tub of IO salt that I store in my garage

Have a small tank, so its gonna be there for a while

Garage has the cars, often the smell of gas

Gets real hot and humid in the summer

I keep all sorts of paint and car solvent stuff in there



Anyone have any issues with these sorts of things and how they interact with the salt?

Worried about the salt "taking up" toxins and vapors that would be released into the tank?



Would like any experiences or advise on this
