I have a 20g long reef tank. Medium substrate, 15-20 lbs rock, mostly LPS coral, clown fish, clown goby, and two spot blenny. Inverts too of course.
Lately in the afternoon (starts around 3, builds until lights out at 5) bubbles start coming from...everywhere. Small bubbles, they come up from the rock, from the sand, and seemingly from every surface of the tank. They then either get caught in the flow and circulate forever or they get up to the top of the water where they seem to linger.
I have wondered if all of the microfauna just starts to release O2 that it has converted during the day, and they become oxygen saturated around the same time, or if this is indicative of something else?
Anyone had this issue? It's quite distracting. Looks like it's snowing vertically in my tank for an hour or two every day.
