Black worms are in!

My roommate called me to tell me my black worms have arrived! He stuck them in the fridge. I picked up 2 totes the other day for them one is 3 gal one is 10, I've got a small hob filter for a 10gal tan I'm going to modify to get water from the bottom tote to the top and put a few slits in the sides so water can flow out of the top to the bottom, I'm not worried about the worms crawling up and out as you guys said if they are happy then they will ball up at the bottom.

So as far as maint. This is what I have planned let me know if you think it will do well.

Worm water will come from my 10 gal freshwater tank with 4 goldfish and 2 other fish in it that I feed one or two times daily. (Because I read one of the best water types was used freshwater from a tank) this water will include the detritus from the freshwater tank as well (to feed the worms hopefully).

Now a few things

Will this work? Lol

Can I get by with 5gal water changes so I'm not sucking my freshwater tank dry?

Should I still feed even with the detritus from freshwater and will the worms even eat the detritus?
