RO/DI water caused algae bloom?

Hello, I've had my 55 gallon set up for about 5 months now and until this month had been using tap water. Last month I got my RO/DI unit and have since done 4 water changes and 8 freshwater top offs. Since getting the RO/DI I have added a neon green bubble tip anemone, which will later be moved to my 30 gallon nano when it's ready, a green Pipe organ coral, and a green long polyp leather. 3 days ago my water started getting cloudy with what I thought was a green tint to it and today I can without a doubt tell you it is green. So it's an algae bloom right? Why would it happen now? Could the switch from tap to RO water have caused it? Should I move everything to my 30 gallon for now? It's only been set up for 3 months, but is quarantining two new fish until I introduce them to the display? Unfortunately, stupid newbie mistake, I don't have any test kits as they are all getting here in two weeks. Maybe I should just take everything back, but I still want to figure out what's going wrong that caused this sudden bloom as I've never had one before and got my cleanup crew at the same time I got my RO/DI. Tank inhabitants: 1 ocellaris clown, 1 velvet damsel, 1 green chromis, 5 hermit crabs, 1 Nasarius snail, 1 sand sifting star (yes its still alive), 2 sexy anemone shrimp, 1 cleaner shrimp, 1 condy anemone, 1 bubble tip anemone ( they stay on completely different sides of the tank and the bubble tip moves way more than the condy which has never moved from where I placed it), a pipe organ coral, and my leather. If it helps, I'm not sure the leather is alive. It has bleached and is slumped over though it perks up every time I do a water change. I know I've made many many mistakes, so don't be too harsh, bit now I'm asking for help. Thanks in advance.
