Okay, situation. So I have not but will be setting up a 90 gallon saltwater aquarium here in about 3 months. My co-worker who use to have a saltwater tank has sold everything but his live rock. The rock has been setting in his bathroom for probably close to 3 months now. (O and he had his aquarium for about 7 months Id say). Okay, back to the topic, he has the rock in his bathroom no light that I know of...just a heater on it and a pump to keep water flow. He said he would sell me 70lbs of rock for 70 buck...aparently he bought the rock at a local saltwater store. So my questions are as follows.
A. What will I need to do to this rock in terms of putting into the tank and making sure it is good to go and "safe" for when I decide to stock the tank with fish
B. Worst case scenario if the rock has problems...was left to dry out, then he put water in it (I'm a newbie here, bear with me)
C. Should I go on ahead and buy the rock...seems like a good deal, also I am IN NO HURRY TO STOCK THE TANK WITH FISH.
