Anyone out there have any experience with an algae reactor? I bought one from the LFS where they were running theirs instead of a protein skimmer but they are no longer there and so can't help me. It is supposed to be able to grow and harvest chaeto. I've had it up and running almost a year in my new 75 gallon but all chaeto I try to grow there turns into slimmy algae. Although my nitrates are very low I wonder if I should just give up and purchase a protein skimmer.
