Hello I am relatively new to the reefing hobby. I have a 14 gallon biocube set up and running since the beginning of October. Right now in the tank I have a sixline wrasse, high fin goby, clownfish, tuxedo urchin, cleaner shrimp, serpent starfish, and a small pistol shrimp that was sold with the goby. I haven't lost any livestock yet and everything seems to be running great.
I am wondering however, what kind of nano protein skimmer would work for my set up. I don't want to get the coralife skimmer it just doesnt work well. I have modified the sump in the back of the biocube some. I removed the bioballs and replaced it with a intank media basket. Anyone who is familiar with biocubes what would you recommend for protein skimmers running in the first chamber or off the back if thats even an option.
Another question I have is I ordered a candy cane coral off of live aquaria. I was attempting to remove the coral from the frag plug. It ended up breaking in half at the skeleton not the actual head of the coral I went ahead and glued the two different heads. Will they be alright?
Thanks
