New to this site and quite new to Saltwater/Reef tank keeping... Love my journey so far and am pretty sure I'm hooked for good on this one.
My tank is a 70 Gal that I started with 70lbs of Pukani live rock, 70 lbs of live sand, a 150w heater, a Hydor canister filter (bunch of different media), a Reef Octopus 100bh protein skimmer, 2 Koralia power heads (850gph each), a R420R 160w LED lighting system, and some glass lids.
I use Instant Ocean Reef crystals (have heard that some of the hobby purists discourage this) and have taken water samples either every day or every few days for the last 2 months. After a little over a month, my parameters seemed okay so I introduced a small CUC and then 2 Ocellaris Clowns. After that I started adding a couple of smaller soft corals and some LPS. I then added a Coral Beauty Angel and some cleaner shrimp. Recently added a Tomini Tang.
That is where I am at... Always hoping to learn and can take educated opinions that differ from mine quite well. 'Hope to get to be a part of this community and hope to meet some people I can turn to in times of needing a question or 2 answered. Also hope to help with anything I possibly could at this point and in the future.
