Broken Impeller

I am getting a used 120 gallon tank ready and I put water in the tank to day with 8 gallons of vinegar to give it a good cleaning. I decided to put the return pump it came with in the tank so I could clean it also and to keep the water moving. Well I plugged the pump in and nothing. I took the pump apart and the impeller was stuck. When I got it going again, a piece of the impeller was either already broken or broke. The pump is an Ehiem 1262. The impeller is almost $90!!!



So should I get the replacement part or a new pump? I was considering the Jebao DC return pump http://ift.tt/1CTsiRW
