I just got back from 3 weeks in OZ, otherwise known as Down Under or Australia. I am very thankful for my work taking me to Australia again and this time I was able to share it with my beautiful bride, Carrie.
I flew there and delivered training in Sydney first and the Melbourne. When finished in Melbourne, I flew back to join my wife in Sydney for a few days. After that we flew to Cairnes with the intention of doing a two day live aboard but due to issues that arose we were only able to do a day trip.
In any case, I thought I would share with you that the area we dove was thriving despite all you hear of what is being done to the reef. Nearly every coral I saw had new growth. I was also impressed by the dive crews commitment to saving the reef and I purchased a copy of "Ribbons of Life", a DVD committed to saving the reef. I believe the Australian government has realized it is a treasure to save.
