remove a bio wheel or keep???

I have a 29 gallon bow front tank that has been running just shy of a month for a whole year I have 16 gallons of live rock If I can recall a 425 gbh hydor power head a aqua c remora skimmer with a colbalt mj 1200 pump . My question is of o remove the marine land 200 penguin bio wheel will my tank be fine with out it I'm trying to hide and get rid of as much equipment from view as possible got my heater in the skimmer sloop let me know guys
