I was relaxing down in the man cave tonight... and noticed these extremely tiny specs on the glass of my 120 gallon reef tank, and my 2 month established seahorse tank.... let me fill you guys in a a few factors...
All rock in seahorse tank was bleach soaked, then fully dried prior to them being put into the tank. The seahorse tank was running for about 1 1/2 month without these little organisms being noticed or present... also... I never seen them in my 3 year old reef tank... at all.
about a week ago.. I decided to pull a couple old fully dead pieces of birdsnest coral skeletons out of the 120 gallon 3 year old tank.. and place them in the seahorse tank... as they will provide perfect latching posts for the seahorse... it seems that from the moment I disturbed these dead birdsnest skeletons and transfered them into the new seahorse tank.. all the little organisms randomly showed up.. IN BOTH TANKS... much less in the 120 gallon... than the what seems to be over 500 in the seahorse tank...
