So I am going to be picking up a Copperband Butterfly at my LFS this weekend for my 120 gallon reef tank. It is eating really well and has been there for a few weeks. It's also about 5 inches. The only problem with it is it has a bit of Lymphocystis on its pectoral fins. Should I worry about this? I just don't want it to spread to my other fish.
In my 120 gallon reef I have; 1 White Cheek Tang, 1 Singapore Angelfish (replacing it with CB), 1 Male Blue Jaw Triggerfish, 1 Sixline Wrasse, 1 Yasha Goby, 2 Occ. Clownfish, 2 Banggai Cardinalfish.
All of these fish are healthy and haven't been exposed to any disease (except ich) in 2 years, and I would like to keep it that way. Is this a disease I should worry about spreading to my other fish? It doesn't sound like the worst disease ever, but you know how that can go. I don't have a QT tank either, but I do have a 15 gallon that I have lying around and a sponge filter that is established in my sump for possible things like this if I ever needed it. I prefer I don't set it up though unless I had too. How should I go about this?
