Cycling in the dark to kill all pests?

It has been a little while since I have posted on here. I have barely had any time to set up the main system in the new shop because I have been dedicating so much time to my other business. I'm finally getting rolling with everything after having built the first small portion to start cycling rock. Tonight. I got up the main sump and plumbed it all into e frag tank and cryptic zone. I have around 300lbs of rock in the sump and in the cryptic zone right now and have about 150lbs more to add and I want to do away with any photosynthetic pests before livestock is added.



Since I will be building the whole filtration system into a room (walls don't exist yet) I was thinking that I could remove all sources of light and kill every pest possible. How long do you think that it would take to kill off cyano, dinos and any other strains of pests?
