Got into aquariums a few years ago now and had a 60 gallon tank for about a year and a half.. By chance I got a 180 gallon bowfront all but given to me. Not sure if I was ready for such a large tank, it was just to good of a deal to pass up. Pretty basic setup, two overflows into a standard wet/dry. Trickles over filters, runs through protien skimmer and right back into the tank. Which my 60 gallon was just enough for what I wanted to do. Well with this 180 im ready to take it another level. I want to buy nice refugium/sump setup, but just not sure how to size one (the larger the better I know, but I was something cost efficient) and just how much I actually need. I want to be able to just clean the overall water quality, and keep some beatiful coral and have it grow and spread more than what I'm seeing now. any ideas?
