I had a 125 saltwater tank while living in California, did not have the patience at that time to do it successfully. That was 17 years ago. I purchased a 75 gallon Oceanic glass tank with 20 gallon sump last weekend. I am using the advice of a man who is in the business and has been doing this for what I would guess is over 40 years. I am relying on his expertise and methods to get going. I just added water and live rock last night. I have to cut two holes in the hood to accommodate fans for cooling. I have two 300 watt Fluvals one in the right back corner and one in the overflow, into a sock, then going to a 180 gallon SC Aquarium Protein Skimmer , then through foam and back to the tank. MY lighting system is 2 2 metal halide, 4 actinic lights with 4 LED moonlight rocks. I hope to build this over the next couple of years into a nice reef tank. I am relearning what I did know from before but have forgotten so much, technology seems to have improved in products. I may reach out on the site to ask questions, will do my research first, but am glad to be here. Thanks
