Ammonia help after tank crash

Hello all, Jason here.

Hoping to get some direction after accidentally crashing my tank.

I have have had a great 75 gallon tank with a 20 gallon sump for 3 years. 2 Apollo LED light sets above, Have 4 nice powerheads, lots of live rock, a couple of anenomes, mushrooms, star pollops(sp), I have the big octopus HOB skimmer, and Chaeto in the sump.

For fish I have a mandarin goby, 2 clowns, and a bi-colored bleeny.

I was doing a water change about 10 days ago and my son wanted to help. My wife suggested letting him help clean out the tank and without even thinking about it I let him help and vaccum the sand, which I normally do not touch.

My tank completely crashed in two days. I put ammonia lock into it to try and save the things that I could not move and started doing water changes and move the fish I could catch. I also use prime when adding or changing water due to the tap water here. (this has never been a problem before).

I have 1 clown left who was moved and the mandarin is in main tank as I can't catch him. He is very lethargic and hiding deep behind the rocks. I also have 2 peppermint shrimp and at least one emerald crab that are in the main tank and seem unaffected.

I use the API master test kit and have no nitrite or nitrate but Ammonia remains off the chart (looks black in tube, deep blue when poured out). I have added some cycle to try and boost up my bacteria. I lost all of the mushrooms, pollops etc.

Any idea how long it will take for the ammonia to convert? It has been almost 2 weeks and the water changes did not affect it and the added bacteria has not made a dent. I have been keeping the lights off to try and get things back to zero to start over.

Is there anything I am missing that I can do?
