I have a 75G DT that I am anxious to take down and my 155G is a week into its cycle. Maintenance is suffering on my 75G as I focus time on the 155, and I have equipment Id like to transfer.
I started a thread on Dr. Tims one and only, followed along with Greasemonkey on his experiment on Dr. Tims, and had some good feedback from Japonicus on his own cocktail for skipping the cycle all together.
I have not doubt that these methods CAN work. The cost is not an issue - $25 - $40.
My question to you TRT is whether using bacteria in a bottle is risky, or if Im just waiting weeks for no real added benefit - Is the tank any more stable at the end of a Natural Cycle or should I just get the Ammonia and Nitrite processing bacteria going ASAP?
New Tank Syndrome that will be present no matter what. Maybe the bacteria in a bottle is the MORE stable solution . I could go on back and forth.
Opinions?
