I started about 1 year ago.
Learnt a lot so far, I had an aptasia outbreak about 2 months in, they spread like wild fire! Each day there was more, I started to inject boiling water but it was a battle never to be won. I purchased a peppermint shrimp and it quickly ate the lot. It's now been about 9 months without any aptasia.
I bought a Condy Anemone about 4 months ago, it's doing great, moves on occasion and eats well.
Just over a month ago I saw what appeared to be an aptasia, but left it for the peppermint shrimp. He never touched it. Unlike before no new have appeared, it is growing fast started off tiny under 1cm but now it's around 1 inch tall, its foot/body looks alike the Condy but is opaque, its arms are brown and the tips have tiny white edges. Any ideas? I may be wrong but I don't think this is an aptasia as it atnleast 4 times the size I ever saw before and unlike the aptasia where if you touch it it instantly shoots in a crevice this stays out. I have added a pic of both the Condy and this new unidentified one.
