Early morning all,
Since Blyth went to Indy for her lil sis's b- day yesterday , I've been on my own "work" schedule ( tho if one was to look at what the master plan would be for my prev. employ , I bet I'd be working midnites tonite) . Even tho it's been 3-4(or more?) since I worked there and however long since I retired , I still kinda think I'm still holding on to the 36 yrs of rotating shiftwork,,,,,,
So,,, decided to take a lil "nap " around 5pm ( in the bed, not good ) woke up a lil after midnite, and now wide awake.
Dawgs are confused naturally , but after I let em outside they are back to snoozing , go figger.
Got a hankering for a good start to the day type breakfast, so the plan is to hit my fav spot for grub@5am, where the waitress knows me ( I worked with her later hubby who sadly was killed at work) and gives me the BIG carafe o coffee, instead of the lil one I run out using.
Then I have yet another Doxie rescue transport midday, makes 3-4 in one weeks time. I don't think of it as a bad thing, more like that our rescue "machine" is working well. One thing I hope the "machine" goes obsolete one day, from lack of need. The fella I'm transporting south is one of the two I brought up north to begin the rescue process. Winston happens to be the lifelong buddy of Murphy, the 14 yr old fella we learned that we are fostering(and likely will be getting him from the rescue's rep when I pick up Winston). If so, I'm gonna feel bad since these two guys are gonna be separated yet again,,,, gotta look at the big, happy picture tho.
Weather has been messing with me, threatening rain and the stuff that goes with it yesterday, but for the most part it has been a no show. Coulda/shoulda gotten a lot of stuff done, but expecting the storms to start vie the Weather Channel app on my phone kept pushing back any t-storms "predicted" during the entire day.... Today the phone won't get consulted and rely on my infallible weather rock ;). .
Plenty of room at my table when I get there in a few hours, look over the menu and order what ya want, it's on me ( and TRT) :)
