I currently have a HT (JBJ cubey 3 gallon) with no substrate or rock. It contains a small heater, short pvc nub for shelter, an airstone and ammonia badge.
Was wondering if this is a good setup for <3" fish. I run with no carbon in the filter the day i add antibiotics, then follow the next day with a 50% water change (new water heated to match temp in tank before adding) and add back the carbon for a day adding sea chem stress guard and fritz zyme 9 starter bacteria to try and keep a healthy filter.
Also does the light intensity and color have anything to do with stress? Is there a specific color (red, blue, pink, green or white) that would help a fish feel less stressed or does color have no effect? Currently i have it running on red during the day and off at night. Thanks in advance for your advice!
Ps thanks to ChiWing for water change recommendation!
