Hey guys, after any help I can at this point..
I have been running my setup for about 3 years now, and while I have recently relocated my tank (a 12 hour transit), back in May, however my corals have been doing rather poorly for quite some time..
I recently tried added some "Reef Roids", to help them out, but after possibly adding a little too much and with some possible lack of flow I encountered a terrible diatom outbreak..
At the time I was running a Jebao RW15 and Gyre 150, an Aqualina MX 48 LED system, underneath I am running a Reef Octopus skimmer DNWB-110, and some macro algae under an LED white light on timer for 9 hours over night. In my 400 litre Aqua One Reef
Since the diatom outbreak, I added my old Jebao WP40 to increase flow and it has helped clear the diatoms from the sand and appears to have helped remove from the rock with the help of my 4 trochus snails.
My Catallaphyillia which is huge, opens partially for a few hours a day but then closes for the majority, this can be said for the lasting hammer and 1 torch, however my frogspawn has barely gotten past its skeleton for months.. the 2 lobo coral on my sandbed have not inflated at all since purchase.. I do have 2 dwarf angels that occasionally nip as they go by, Im not sure if its for the coral or some algae..
I have dosing pumps for Mg, Alk, Ca and Iron..
I have always tested, results usually are good, however just gone up in some in my latest test..
Usual / Latest
Mg: 1320 / 1500 Gone up over a period of 3 weeks, about 60 per week
Ca: 440 / 480
Alk: 10 / 9.5
No3: 5
PO4: 0.08
Salinity did drop due to an incorrect set hydrometer, dropped to 1.021 for a few days, i bought it back up to 1.024 and last test which was a week after was 1.023
Temp is 25.3C
Any help would be great!
