Feeding Serpent Stars?

Just wondering how Y'all feed your Serpent Stars......I find my Serpent to be rather reclusive, and a lover of the 'night life'. 3-4 times a week, on top of my daily feedings of frozen shrimps and clam pieces to our tank, I target feed my corals, and when I do I make sure I track down the Serpent, and with a large hunk of clam on a skewer I let him pull it off the stick. Do you folks just let them scavenge, or do you also target feed yours?
