Diatoms this early?

just this morning i noticed diatoms everywhere like at 5 days into the diatom stage in 1 night i was wondering do you guys think its odd that diatoms are kicking in the tank is 6 days old! of course i had some old sand and rock but I'm using 99% dry rock and 50% live sand, is this very odd? i haven't even seen my ammonia spike above .25 yet and my nitrite above 1
