Supplementing light for lps nano?

I am running 2 24" ati bulbs on a H.O. T5 fixture. Currently running blue plus and purple plus, blue only for dawn/dusk on my 20long lps tank. Acans/euphyllia/zoas/shrooms/favites/gsp/leathers/hynophora/rbta

Someone at lfs near me mentioned that while blues and purples make corals looks great, they dont have the proper spectrum to trigger true coral growth, he also mentioned how this could be the reason for my zoas growing long necks and recession of some of my harder to keep frags.

I want to supplement some leds to the mix to finish off the spectrums that im currently without. Do you think its wize to run 1 blue plus 1 coral plus and a white led strip, or is it better to retire the ol t5's and go for a full led build?

Whats your favorite leds in terms of bang for buck, i heard chinese led boxes have wrong par/spectrum and im not quite ready to drop 1000 for an ati led foxture for a 20 long :(

Thanks for reading!
