Blue Light Special 100gal Reef

Hello folks! This isn't my first post, but! Its my first proper introduction. Just call me Rider, biker that loves the waters. I've started the journey of saltwater after a wreck and the need to keep motivated. Theres nothing in there quite yet as far as fish goes, but 5 hermits, plenty of polyps, four mushrooms, and an Anemone have found their way in and appear to be happy enough. Heres hoping it'll flourish, im sure it'll be a fun ride getting to know you guys here and perhaps some time I can give back to the community. :) The tanks named after the lights, when I first turned them on I was blinded by this incredible blue light, similar to a welding torch. It was fking Bright!

Early in the setup process, and yes the cat has been in the tank. Thankfully not with water in it! We constantly joke we have the option of saltwater catfish. Weve also since painted the stand a dark red, and will show that in more pictures tomorrow while the lunar lights have gone to daytime cycle.

One of the small colonies of polyps next to a hermit crab! The light levels a little off, they're not fully out here. Tomorrow I'll post more in better light!

This lil gal's fit as a...fiddler! One of two bright red fiddler crabs, they've burrowed out the underside to that rock as their home and can always be reliably seen poking out to way hi!

Last one for tonight is a gorgeous Emerald Crab, I'm slightly worried about this one, he's a bit ravenous when it comes to food. He's taken Nori strips from a jig almost shark-like. Will have to keep an eye on him!

Im debating grabbing a new camerajust to get better pictures of all these. Especially as reminders to see how things grow over time.I'll post some more tomorrow, once again hello all and thanks for having me!
