I recently purchased a new house and decided to turn my old 120 Reef tank into a turtle tank, since the tank wouldn't fit where I wanted it and where it is now wouldn't work out well for the basement sump room.
Here is the start so far.
Initial planning:

Plumbing Doneish:

Overflow look:

Wanted to get more done yesterday, but the hardware stores by me do not sell a 45mm diamond hole saw so had to order one online.
The drill is to go thru the ceramic tile that I'm using for the internal overflow.
Now I'm debating if I want to put down eggcrate on the bottom or just put the river rocks right on top of the glass.
Originially I thought using the eggcrate would help keep the turtle waste suspended with the way the return pipe is setup, so that it could reach the overflow.
Then I remembered of the old filter setups, and that you couldn't siphon anything from the bottom, so I think I'm going to scratch that idea.
On my return I was worried about siphoning on a power failure, the waterfall PVC I have going up should act as a siphon break correct?
