Hot, sunny Saturday ahead

Good morning TRT Friends, and.....HAPPY SATURDAY! A real Norman Rockwell day out there today for us. Nice cold bowls of fresh fruit to go with our coffee and pink milk.....too warm to cook this morning. Got watermelon, and cantaloupes as well as strawberries, and a tub of Cool Whip. Heading into work this morning for the usual 'I have no idea how long' Saturday. Had mixed weather yesterday at the shore.....rain and sun. Was taking a little 19 footer out for a sea trial, and had just cleared the mouth of the creek and turned into the bay when a squall hit. Figured I was into it for a dime already so pushed through it.......Tons of folks running in so I had their wakes to contend with as well as NO VISIBILITY! Was getting pelted ridiculously hard in the face, and even put my reading glasses on to see if'n that helped...it didn't. Placed my hand over my face and tried peeking through my fingers. NOPE! Just hit 5 grand, then turned around and put the rains' direction behind me.....ahhhhhhh, just getting wet now, I can deal with this. Our area is so choked with No-WAKE signs, folks drift fishing in the channel, and other folks without a clue out there, that for short 'sea trials', we have to take advantage of any opportunities we can to 'open up' these boats.....even in less than stellar weather, or direction of choice. And of course being the nature of the beast, by time I came into dock the sky was blue and gulls were laughing, and folks wondered why I looked like a drowned rat. Yep, that was a fun day.
