Wrasse has been hiding for 14 days

I got a coris wrasse 14 days ago and I have seen him once. He hid when I put him in then came out for days later at night but was hiding again by the morning. I knew they hid when put into a new tank but this long? When do I chalk it up as a loss and try a different one? my water is perfect I do tests every few days and my anthia is very healthy and active. Any thoughts?
