Ive been planning my first tank its a 70 gallon freshwater tank with a filter, heater, cirrcultor and im thinking about housing some cory catfish some tetras some real basic hardy fish ect. And ive got a few questions. First i want to plant the tank so do i need a co2 system and special lighting for good plant growth. Second ive read a little bit on water changes and ive thought of a plan 10% twice a week by filling up a bucket with tap and putting the de chlorine stuff in then siphoning out 10% so 7 gallons and then putting the prepared water in. Also how often should i test my waters ph levels once a week? Im a real newbie so go easy on me i really dont want my fish to die. I think thats all i need to ask for now i know i have to let the tank circulate for a while but if u want to throw in some extra tips u think i probably dont know feel free because im really open to learning and thanks for the answers!
