Stray voltage help!!!

I know everyone hates the grounding probe tooic but i need help. I have a cut on my finger and i can feel a little stinging when my hand is in the tank i have determined that all my stuff causes it apperantly. Both of my return pumps from the sump do. I added a diy ground probe and no more shcock. I dont have money to replace them till next year and i dont wanna just leave the sump off what do i do. Is the ground probe giving currsnt to the voltage hence makeing it dangerous or is it ridding of it. The ground probe is in the sump with the faulty pumps so the current is from the pumps to the ground probe and no fish can get in betweeen so is that fine.
