Slowly removing liverock and adding dry rock, clean slate for nutrients?

So im realizing the mistakes of my innocence when i first came into this hobby, when i started my nano tank i added ALL cured rock. Ive recently been looking up new reef builds and seeing lots of tanks use mostly dry rock with 1 "seed" live rock to get things going.

I have no idea how long my rock hAs been cured for/kept in/ or if live rock tank was fed, i believe it was being fed since lfs kept wrasses in LR tanks.

Im slowly cooking rock BB style in tank. But would it be much easier, faster, and safer to slowly take a pound out every couple weeks or so and replace with a fresh, new peice of dry pukani or manufactured reef rock 2.0 to let bacteria colonize?
Im speaking strictly in terms of bound phosphates and other miscellaneous compounds we try to keep to a minimum in tank. I realize the cost of this decision, but at the end of the day i want a tank that will last 10 years not 10 months before i see any problems.

Still learning as i go and you guys have no idea how valuable this forum is to me (and my fish/corals) thanks again for any advice, tips, info. :)
