Hello everyone :). I'm closing in on starting my reef tank and getting ready to order everything. I have a few question I would like opinions on. Most things I've read said you need a pound of live rock per gallon or more for a biological filter. I've seen videos however of people using dry rock and just using live sand. Is this a feasible approach or is it risky. My friend also suggested (he's not experienced) that I use mostly dry rock and buy a few live rocks and just let it spread. Can this work? And lastly I would like to keep a lps corals so what would be a good fixture you could recommend in t5? Thank you all for you patience with me. I want to make sure I'm not setting myself up for failure.
