problems with clowns

Ok , so almost every day my black and white clowns, give me a scare. They run around the rim of the aquarium like crazy at night . then sometimes in the morning when I'm turning on the light they seem sluggish like they have no energy Ive checked my pump and circulation I also have a protein skimmer on my 14 gallon nano tank so when they are sluggish they are swimming into the live rock I don't understand this behavior there's two other fish in there I have a bicolor blenny and a goby and they're perfectly fine no issues I've tested my water everything you can think of I've done it water changes everything I don't know if this is normal behavior because where I got my clownsfrom a guy that actually breeds them he lives close to where I live they're just not as spunky as they were .There 6 months old. I mean a lot of time they're swimming all over the place and happy so I kind of get confused sometimes in their behavior I would love any type of feedback thank you. My tank is right by my bed so if anything happens I'm right there and I can hear if anything happens. I'm supposed to be getting my snowflake clowns this week to go in my other tank which is a 24 gallon and, I have no fish in that one yetbut it has been up and running for almost 2 months..Help!!
