Aquavitro salinity salt users, unite! Freshwater alk kits or saltwater?

Ive been wondering recently whether not not Seachems' Aquavitro Salinity salt has the high levels of boron(borate/boric acid) that their previous reef salt had problems with. I was told old seachem reef salt was 12x higher in borate for buffering bit since boron isnt used by calcifying organisms your alk test would show perfect nimbers yet the actual carbonate would be alot lower.

Is this true for aquavitro salinity? I first bought this salt after hearing about it from a georgia aquarium reef chemistry seminar, supposedly it was the "next biggest thing" in reef salts but if alk numbers are skewed then i would much rather dump this bucket in the trash( ok maybe just the salt, they make the best buckets imho, but thats going off topic), and just use buffer when i feel the need.

Anyone look into this or hear anything? I heard that with standard alk tests you would want to either increase or decrease the results by 10% to get carbonate alk reading, but im not sure which its very confusing, also heard that freshwater alk test kits read low on salt and have the 10% compensated already. Im sick and tired of being unsure about my red sea test results.

Thanks! Btw my bucket states that it should be between 14.5 and 15.5 p borate
