400 gallon new tank build, advice pls

Hi,

I am a new member to the reeftank.com community and I am hoping for some advice from the more experienced members.

I am an expat living in Bangkok and kept a 90 gallon reef tank (easy corals and few fish) for the past 5 years. I have almost finished building a new house and I decided this was an ideal time for a tank upgrade and incorporate this in the design :)

My plan is to have an in wall tank 4m long, 50 cm wide and 75cm high accessible via a small fish room hidden away. I plan to keep a good selection of fish, with lots of live rock and easy soft corals.

Because I live in Thailand, with the language barrier and culture getting accurate information from my LFS can be difficult and often frustrating. I am using a LFS for the system setup and design. Before I give the LFS the go ahead to make the tank i would like some advice please.

My LFS has suggested making the tank stand from concrete, but I have never seen this before. Is this common and would concrete be the best choice, pros and cons? Does anybody know how to calculate the dimensions of the concrete stand to ensure it will hold the weight of the tank?

I have also attached a copy of the system setup the LFS wants to use. Please could some experienced reefers offer some opinions on this setup or possible better alternatives.

Thanks and I look forward to your response
