Hello All:
I am adding about ten pounds of live sand to my 2.5 year old sandbed. It has been depleted by siphoning over time. More so lately, because of some green hair algae. I do regular WCs and have CUC, but some remains.
I would like to add the new sand right on top of the old sand so that I can maintain depth, but that would mean some spots being filled in over algae.
Is that a problem?
Or must I siphon all the green stuff up, and thereby take all the sand with it?
