My tank is now up and running about a week. I did end up using water from my lfs (owner is a friend of mine) so it was free. I checked the water before using it about 5 times. Using a red sea max c250 about 65 gallons total. 40 lbs of live sand and 45 lbs of livr rock. Been testing every 2 days and still no spikes. I used the quick start liquid after filling it. My reading are 0 amonia, 0 nitites, .05 nitrates and my ph is 8.0.
Noticed some brown on a few of my lighter colored rocks today. Should i let it sit or blow it off?
Also if i get no spike in the next week or so can i get a shrimp and cleanup crew in?
