My brother is moving 1000 miles away and had my old clown in his tank, which was his only fish. It is a false perc that is 8 years old. It is fat and healthy. There was no way of him transporting the fish since he will be living in a temp housing for 2 months.
So I decided to take it back and put into my 40 gallon. I have tons of rock work and three other fish: False perc, cardinal, royal gramma.
Well once I put the old fish in, which is much larger than the 1 year old I have, the established began to beat up the new addition. Any chance these two will settle and become tanks mates or is the smaller one going to kill the old fish?
Its not biting the fish, but it swims up to it and does an aggressive shake with what appears head bunts.
