Beginner setting up a FOWLR tank sump

Aloha. I am looking for help setting up a sump for a new 80gal FOWLR tank. I have used a wet/dry trickle filter on the past and understand how they work but this tank has a 3 chamber sump. I would greatly appreciate some advice at a entry level. I live in Hawaii and cannot get live rock from my LFS. I can try to get some straight from the ocean myself but I'm worried about how safe it is to add to my set-up. I will be using Coralife Life Rock - does this still count as a FOWLR??? Anyway, and advise will be appreciated.

Current- nothing!! Plan on live sand and the above mentioned Life Rock. I'm a blank stale! THANK YOU!!!
