Yet another 40B build

Hello all, I am planning a 40B reef build and could use some (or massive amounts) help. This will be my first foray into the world of saltwater, although I have wanted to have a reef tank for many years.

Below is what I am thinking, please let me know if I am off base or if you have a better recommendation.

Stocking:

My wife is set on a clownfish and anemone. Otherwise, I would like a couple small fish (blennys maybe?)
An appropriate cleanup crew (recommendations? how hard are starfish to keep?)
Corals- This is my main interest, I would like some SPS and soft corals. I would love recommendations for good starters here as well.

Tank: 40B with a 20 ish(recommendations here?) sump (dollar a gallon deal at petsmart)

1-2 inches of sand?

Live rock what would be an appropriate amount here?

Lighting, how would a Kessil A150W 10000k be?

Protein Skimmer How about the Reef Octopus 110 in the sump?

Return pump from sump Eheim Compact 1000 (~265 gph)

powerheads WP 10 (2x?)
