I'm new here, and not sure if this is where I would post such a question(s), or if this topic has been discussed many times (not sure how to search correctly), so I'll just throw it out there...
Have read much about the importance of a Quarantine Tank, and I'm contemplating bringing 30 gal out of storage for this purpose. Although I don't anticipate any new livestock, don't currently have anyone sick, I'm curious if QT needs to be constantly up and running, or if I can fill it with water from DT when needed?
I'm hoping I can have a hob, heater, lighting on standby for when they're needed?
I believe that when I need to dose anyone, tank will need to be cleaned out afterward, so no live rock, just frequent water chg?
