So in a few months I'm going to be moving, and shortly after the move I'm going to be upgrading my 55g fish and live rock tank to a 125g reef tank. Before that though, I want to plan everything out because mistakes can be costly.
So here's the plan, a 125 gallon display, a 55g refugium, and a 29g sump.
After doing some reading, I figure the safest bet for my refugium is to put it above my display and let the water flow down into it, rather than underneath and pump it back up. My goal is to have the water from my display drain to the 29g sump underneath, which will house my heaters and chillers, and connect to all my reactors, then pump it up to the refugium, then have it drain back to the display.
My main issue right now is designing a stand that can hold a 55g above my 125g display. Anyone have experience with anything like this?
