So it might be hard to explain but currently I have a 75 gallon reef tank non drilled and I have the opportunity to drill some holes in my basement wall into the storage room my question is would I be able to just set up say a 30 gallon tank with more rock etc for more water volume and just use 2 separate pumps moving the water back and forth? The distance would only be the width of the wall so say 12 inches or less into the 30 gallon I would also build a shelf to have the 30 gallon tank level with the display tank on the other side of the wall? Is it doable with just 2 pumps moving the water essentially between the walls?
