Just noticed this guy in my tank yesterday...hoping this isn't the dreaded aiptasia!
You can see my whole story in tank specs, but the short story is tank was up for years, disassembled and sat stagnant for a couple months, back up and running for a few months now. Only current inhabitants are a pair of clowns.
This little guy is currently living in an old rock but it must have hitchhiked in on one of my 2 new pieces of live rock though it's just appeared now-over 2 months later. My nitrates are still a little high but I'm starting to see some new (natural) coralline growth as well as maybe some cyano starting in one spot (which I'm hoping is just a phase in my tank cycling and not going to be an ongoing battle). Don't know if any of this info helps to ID or if this is an easy ID just from the pics but any info is appreciated!
Any chance I've lucked out and this is just a curlycue/curlyque?
If not, what do you all recommend to kill it?
Thank you in advance!
